Victorian Heart Cards // Watercolor Love Tokens

As I was seeking inspiration for Valentine's Day cards this past month, I stumbled across a tutorial for these Victorian Heart Purses.

The construction of these cards are quite simple, and the results are so satisfying, I thought I'd share the four card designs I created with you all!

Card #1: Cardinals & Strawberries

When the cards are fully unfolded they look like bright, four-leaf clovers, and when they are flipped over . . . .

The inside/back reveals a sweet message!

Card #2: Cats & Dogs

The inspiration for this card was definitely coming from our our sweet puppy, Freddy Bear, and our outdoor kitty, Kayleigh!

Card #3: Fox & Hound

That little hound dog just about stole my heart! I must confess, I was loath to part with him. 😊💕🐕

Card #4: Tomato & Caterpillars

As any tomato-loving gardener knows . . . tomato hornworms simply cannot resist a lush tomato plant! 😋🍅🐛

What I enjoy so much about this card style is that it can be used for so many other occasions: Anniversaries, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Birthdays, etc.

I had a lot of fun coming up with "opposites" to pair together. I'd love to play with other design pairings in the future, and explore the story-telling aspect even more!

Which of the cards was your favorite?
What do you think would look cute paired together next?!
💕
